Mission:

The Local Food Promotion group aims to ensure that all Watauga County community members have the opportunity to interact in meaningful ways with fresh local food and farms. To achieve this, the group works to strengthen the High Country’s food economy by incentivizing restaurants and businesses to incorporate locally sourced ingredients as well as encourage community members to engage with healthy, locally-grown foods through educational events and workshops.
